SOME INFO WHOS PLANNING ON GETTING DAT

On Sept. 20th, 2005 to mark the ninth anniversary of his death, the estate of Tupac Shakur will release a new album inspired by his poetry.

Released by Amaru Entertainment, "The Rose Vol. 2" features an array of guest artists who interpreted 'Pac's poetry and composed 15 original songs for the album. Some of the featured appearances include Ludacris, Lyfe Jennings, Bone Thugs -n- Harmony, The Outlawz, Memphis Bleek, Talib Kweli, and Shock G (Digital Underground).

Three talented young women who all honed their skills at the Tupac Summer Performing Arts Camp also contribute original material to the album. Celina Nixon, a former member of "Pac's Kids," and now the Artistic Director for the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation provides "The Eternal Lament" to the album. Current "Pac's Kids" attendees - 16 year old, Morgan McKenzie and 15 year old, Amber Granderson contribute a poem and vocal solo blend entitled, "Poetry."

The proceeds from sales of "The Rose, Vol. 2" will go to benefit the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation, which is raising $3 million needed for the completion of a Center for creative arts. The Center just recently opened Phase One of its three stage construction in Atlanta, Georgia and erected a bronze status of Tupac this past August.
