A few nights ago I was flippin around and saw Russel Simmons on MTV so I stopped on it and to my surprise it was a video for a new Rev Run song called "Mind on the Road". I have to say the song is on point. His flow has shown alot of improvement and the beat is fire! Overall he murders it. The cd is called "Distortortion", I gotta get a copy.

So let me get dis straight,
Mase goes to church becomes a minister then comes back to rap and he's a hypocrite, Rev Run does it, and we sposd to roll out da red carpet and say a legend returned. FUCK HIM he should go back to da pulpit.
The best sounds like an unreleased 1980s Run-DMC song. Get with the program Rev!

I dont know If you realize it, but Run has been a reverend for some time. Also Run dosent rap about doing anything wrong, I dont see him as a hypocrite. Mase used to be hard, at least his rhymes. They became a miniser 'saw the light', OK, whatever, hes doin his thing. Makes a record without talk of G shit, it fails miserably. Now he goes back to bein G-up Murda Mase again, and hes rumord to sign with G-Unit.

Another question. Is it hypocritical for Mase to rap about a dope deal gone bad from the perspective of learning from it? Isn't that what a testimony in church is about talkin about what you've done bad and how you learned from it thru the grace of GOD.
To me if Mase raps about shootin people dats hypocritical,
BUT
if he raps bout how he used to whatever and he's seen da light dats fine to me. As long as any gangsta shit he speaks is in the vein of this is what you shouldnt do.

That beat is from "I Love Rock n Roll" from some 80's group... I don't like that song too much... I can't even understand what he's sayin'.

No, your right. If im wrong I can admit it. I went and listend to the new songs under Murda Mase, and he dosent really talk about him doing or wanting to do anything bad. Mabey hes gonna do some talk about the hood from a changed man perspetive.

Oh no doubt, Run is legend, with mad talent both as a producer and a rapper. But listen to 300 Shot he dosent say anything about him wanting or doing anything wrong it's all commentary. Im not saying Mase is talented or anything, im just sayin that Cuffs cat got me on that shit.
