Nelly & Luda are legends, I don't like dere music either but dere longevity and length of relevance make them legends. Cuz talent alone don't make you a legend, A legend is someone who remained relevant in there genre. I mean who can't rap wit Run DMC or NWA even so both groups are legendary.

Current legends would be ,not cuz I like em but cuz others do:
Nas, Jay-Z,Eminem(white boy champ), Common (backpack champ),Snoop, and Dre

If you make a region relevant you become a legend. I don't even like swisha house but 20million people in the south do and the south hate it or love have takin ova hip-hop and that is why they will be legends. Nelly made St. Louis a relevant area for music and continues to bang out hits which is why he will be a legend.


As i said, A legend is defined by longevity, these artists will have longevity and mark a new day in hip-hop whether you like it or not.

longevity is just one thing. How about impact? MCing skillz? Consistency? it wouldnt hurt if they could make a classic album as well. i think the best album from wannabe legends is from DMX, Its Dark And Hell Is Hot. Classic album, Im not denying that. But DMX hasnt been consistent and he for damn sure hasnt had longevity. UGK was repping for Texas LONG BEFORE Swisha House. Nelly is the only one who would qualify if we talking about putting a region on the map. I couldnt consider any of them wannabes legends a real legend until there music starts to get better.

Houston,Tx had acts before such as UGK, Scarface etc, BUT they haven't made an impact as a collective as swisha house, Swisha House has had an undeniable impact on hip-hop music because before them you never would ever see a music video on national tv that was chopped and screwed but now because of them you see just that,

Mc skills are all in the ear of the listener, some east coast fans have said Ice Cube didnt have emcees skills because he didnt use the multis or pattern of rhyme of a Big Daddy Kane or Rakim. But he did have skills they just didnt like them, consistency is the same if the music you make makes people dance and erytime you come out you do that you are consistent.

Cuffs, Scarface and UGk have both made classic albums, that's making an impact homie. I see what you saying, u saying Swisha House as a collective is making an impact. I disagree, the south as a collective is making somewhat of an impact. It isnt just them niggas.

Cassidy first Cd flopped and now he is on his second, so to put him on that list as future without even having a classic under his belt is Straight fucked up.

Who decides that they can have legend status it's all an opinion and if you don't agree with someone one's list it does'nt matter.
