Walter Payton is the greatest running back of all time. Barry did his thing, but dont deny that he simply GAVE UP cus of his stupid managment and his weak teammates. Jim Brown, prolly second or third on the list. NOBODY could stop duke, led the league in rushing 8 seasons, and the only Brown worth talking about. lol. Emmit Smith... I gotta give some props for what he did, even though he had a great o-line in front of him

bo jackson was great...but 9 years compared to only a few...jackson cant be considered the best all time because of this. dont get me wrong, im a big bo jackson fan and he probably would have been the greatest if shit didnt happen, but it did. barry played long enough to be considered

WALTER PAYTON!!!
erybody is gonna say barry cuz he did some amazing shit but none of yall are lookin at how many times he lost yards. I saw games where da lions would be up and when your winning your supposed to run right? Yup! But barry lost so many yards on carries that they would continuosly go three and out as barry racked up a -1, -3, den a 2yd carry punt,
Walter on the other hand you could pound him in dere til da cows came home, if you had the lead give it to walter and wam! you got a win, Walter easily betta than Barry

barry san & emmitt smith
theres only 2 words you can say about barry
"wow" "desire"
leaves defenses and viewers stunned
just couldnt take losing all those times
he was a winner amongst losers
jim brown-no way in hell, back in the day he was the same size a fuckin lineman.. thats why no one could tackle him, if he played today his name would be javon kearse
walter payton- prob 3rd on the list.. he was the perfect RB, he had just enough of everything it takes to be a great back..
emmitt smith- prob 2nd on the list...hes alone at the top,he got the record so thats why hes up here, this is gunna be the first year watching a RB whose name is not emmitt smith
there isnt anymore to say because what emmitt gave me as a fan is something i will never forget, i just cant even put it in to words but if i tried to it would prob be "priceless"
ive been beside emmitt
thick and thin
we at the top
and aint no nigga out there can take that
see this number bitches..18,355
you cant beat that
arguement over
go home

Barry Sanders? He would'nt even be on my list... Yeah he's good, but he did'nt have the power, or consistency of Emmit Smith... Emmit could go out everyday and give you a buck or so easily... and he proved it, who's holding the record...

I think most of us know about Gale Sayers Franco Harris and Earl Campbell but neither of those three tell you the answer to the question posed which was who is the best of all time neither of those three are.
WALTER PAYTON is!! Hands down. easy
