I see some strong similarities between the comparisons. Some stronger than others, but still, some good points.

-The Pistons and the Patriots are excellent at spreading the ball around.

-Though the 76ers and Colts have a good supporting staff, their superstars (Iverson, Manning) are the only ones that can win games, not the support (Webber, Edge/Harrison)

-The Pistons/Patriots are very blue-collar type players.

-The Pistons and the Patriots are clutch. Both have a player that can put 3 on the board to win the game (Billups/Vinateri)

-The 76ers and the Colts have a league-MVP quality superstar (Iverson/Manning) that can never go very far in the playoffs.

-The Pistons/Patriots play excellent defense.

-The media is frequently on the 76ers/Colts' weiner.

-The Pistons/Patriots have a strictly defensive player that truely believes that they are good at offense (Hunter/Vrabel)

-The Pistons/Patriots make some odd first-round picks (Darko/Mankins)

-The Patriots repeated, despite what the media had to say, and so will the Pistons.
