They said that 50's, Eminem's, and Dre's albums are highly anticipated but couldn't qualify because they weren't sure if the albums were even going to be released this year.

P.S. 50 has Before I Self Destruct which he says is harder than his last album and will be the best album of the time it is released.

Come on... Wu-Tang and Rakim are anticipated too, just not as much. Also Immortal Technique is an indie rapper, so he kind of does not count. Plus, the albums that dropped so far on this list are dope. (i.e. Ultimate Victory, Buck the World, T.I. vs. T.I.P.) I'm from NY and I'll be the first to say that the south got some hot lyricists, especially Weezy (btw, Tha Carter 3 got pushed back to Feb. 08 and The Leak is coming in its place.) It's just the wack ones that aren't helping the game.

Now here are my top 5 for next year:

5. 2 Trill (Bun B)
4. Before I Self Destruct (50 Cent)
3. King Mathers (Eminem)
2. Tha Carter III (Lil Wayne)
1. Detox (Dr. Dre)

Seriously, this is the worst list I have ever seen. Nas was right.

Hip-Hop is Dead.

I'm from Texas, and I can admit that Houston gives out garbage (except UGK, Scarface, Geto Boys). The South did kill Hip-Hop.

You got Common dropping next week, Wu-Tang coming with 8 Diagrams, Rakim, Kanye, Raekwon, Kweli came with EarDrum, Immortal Tech alledgedly dropping Revolutionary Vol. 3 and the Middle Passage...and they have Lil Jon, Papoose, Cassidy, 3 6 Mafia, TI, Chamillionaire, Young Buck, Lil Wayne. This was the worst list I've ever seen. XXL has gone the way of The Source. They are the scourge of Hip-Hop.

Hip-Hop is on it's death bed, and it's gonna take old-school artists like dre (detox) and wu-tang (8 diagrams, Cuban Linx 2), and maybe some new blood like Lupe to save it.

okay in my opinion, these are some of the biggest albums dropppin this year

15. Bishop Lamont - The Reformation
this is supposedly the next GRODT debut, unlikely but if it is...

14. Young Buck - Buck the World
im goin from a list i previously made, it would be higher if i was going by quality instead of anticipation, crazy ass shit here

13. LL Cool J - Exit 13
A master rhymer, spits like hot fire ha, should be great, listen to "Bump This" that shits crazy

12. Busta Rhymes - Before Hell Freezes Over
Crazy ass motherfucka, this shit should be great cuz hes tyin closer to Aftermath em n fif

11. Papoose - The Nacirema Dream
hes an amazing lyricist who really can rhyme anything, A-Z (Ha) this is a street album no doubt

10. Lil Jon - Crunk Rock
though lyrically untalented, hes fun to listen to, club album

9. Proof Time Will Tell
RIP proof, he has a crazy flow and with the right beats, this shit will fly

8. D12 - TBA
they are the best rap group of the 21st century, i love their music and theyr really funny

7. TI - TI vs TIP
TI is really one of those relaxed spitters who probably has a couch in his studio (ha) but seein that hes collaboratin with em, this is surefire

6. DMX - TBA
DMX is eternal, my favorite hardcore rapper alive, he can rap like people can breathe, as long as theirs still stuff to breathe/rap about

5. Camron - TBA
wouldv been #4 but due to his nature, i kno hell ruin his LP with 50 cent disses, still lookin forward, though if not for the hot 97 dispute, wouldv loved it

4. Chamillionaire - Ultimate Victory
he is actual one of the best southern rappers, i loven his flow, hes just talented, this should be good

3. 50 Cent - Curtis
despite the giant numbers in haters, he still is amazing, hoping he comes out with some really good songs, not this straight to the bank and amusement park crap

2. Eminem - TBA
this is the best living rapper (of the year 07 cuz nas + hov beat him) expectations are high for this album

1. Dr Dre - Detox
no doubt going to set some sort of record somehow wether it does amazing on the charts or sets a new era in rap like his other albums, finally the doc is comin, haha at last
