I just wanna say that the Chairman’s Choice section has turned me onto some unbelievable music with the August Issue (The Jay-Z Cover). Superiority Complex’s album Stand Up is one of the best album’s I’ve heard in years! Very refreshing! It seems like we might have some worthy heirs to the throne that Tribe left vacant so 8 years ago. My only problem is the album was hard to find since they didn’t leave any info in the article. Reasonable Doubt is some more New York bullshit. Who said this was a classic? Every song I passed over bacause of wack lines and music. ‘Ain’t no nigga” was the only good song,because of the music. real classics are “Paid in full.” Almost any album from Public Enemy , NWA’s “Staight out of Compton”, and the first album from WC and the Maad Circle “Ain’t A Damn Thing Changed.” You could pick an album from Run D.M.C and Jam Master Jay. 2-Pac’s music is just the best of all time hands down. Nobody is,was and will never be on his level.

I recently started reading XXL magazine and was interested to see Jay-Z on your August Cover.
I read the Article “The Making of Reasonable Doubt” and really enjoyed it. I never heard the album – was intrigued by the stories behind the songs and am now trying to find a copy of the CD. The writers did a great job of putting that issue together. Dpwn thje line I’m gong to subscribe to XXL.

It would be great – if the XXL staff did the same treatment for the early 90′s album “BREAKING ATOMS” by the MAIN SOURCE. That album contains NAS’s debut on LIVE AT THE BAR-B-CUE and all the rest of the great songs on the album. Just like you did for REASONABLE DOUBT, get in touch with and interview all the folks who helped to create that album.
Now that would be DOPE!

Don’t you people know, there’s really no such thing as “The best”, that’s all opinion based. Every rapper has their best and has their worse, then again there’s some that just has…worse. I gotta thank Chairman Mao for introducing me to Superiority Complex. This is the best album I’ve heard since “Be”. I was looking for someone who represented that Tribe Called Quest vibe (warm, soulful beats, lyrics, a variety of topics) and this is it. That jazzy Hip Hop is coming back strong. If you’re tired of the same o’ same o’, then check out Superiority Complex. I promise you will not be disappointed.
