Thefuture.fm, the first mixed music streaming platform of its kind, launched earlier this week.

From Funkmaster Flex to DJ Cassidy and A-Trak, users will be able to log on to Thefuture.fm and find exclusive mixes by some of their favorite Disc Jockeys from around the world as the internet radio platform gives listeners mixed music curated by the world's top DJs. Fans will also be able to create custom playlists and find and share music played by top DJs without having to worry about any illegalities, since the program ensures artists whose songs are used are compensated. Additionally, TheFuture.fm comes equipped with social sharing tools, embeddable player and recommendation algorithm.

"We're excited to officially launch the first platform to automate the process of rights flow management for mixed and long form audio. This enables consumers to discover new music played by the best DJs, who now have and easy and responsible way to share their mixes," said David Stein, founder and CEO of Thefuture.fm. "Thefuture.fm is the culmination of a very successful beta trial, that has been fine-tuned and refined based on feedback from the music industry, DJs and the listeners who follow them." —Gina Montana
