As part of its collaboration with environmental initiative Parley for the Oceans, Adidas and German goalkeeper Marc ter Stegen have revealed a limited edition UltraBoost Parley silhouette to continue raising awareness of the threat of plastic pollution in the sea.

Inspired by the dark blue and green hues of the ocean, the UltraBoost Parley and UltraBoost X Parley silhouettes fuse innovative footwear technology with progressive eco-friendly materials. The exclusive silhouettes feature a Primeknit upper consisting of 85 percent Parley Ocean plastic.

The sneakers midsole will feature Adidas' Boost technology made with sustainable materials to deliver comfort and cushioning from the ground up. In the sole, Continental Rubber, made from natural materials, provides a smooth and flexible ride and advanced grip in all conditions. Also available in a women’s-specific silhouette, the UltraBOOST X features a distinctive adaptive arch and a unique construction designed to adapt to the female foot.

The ongoing Parley installment for Adidas continues to help raise awareness to fight marine plastic pollution. Launched originally in 2017, the collection was first released with a pair of UltraBoot sneakers and the Adidas Originals EQT Support ADV.

The new Adidas UltraBoost and UltraBoost X will be available in limited numbers online and in-store at select Three Stripe retailers on April 16.
