Nike continues its anniversary celebration of the Air Force 1 shoe this morning by announcing the return of one of the most limited and rarest Air Force 1 sneakers of all time. This winter the Swoosh is bringing back the Roc-A-Fella Air Force 1 Low by Kareem “Biggs” Burke. Nike looks to recapture the essence of the Roc-A-Fella movement with the re-release of the iconic shoes.

Originally released in 2007, the sneakers were created for members of the Roc-A-Fella label. Released in an all-white premium leather upper, the sneakers boosted Roc-A-Fella logos on the side panel and tongue with cross branding from Nike on each of the side panels. The 2017 version of the Kareem's shoe will feature the same aesthetics as the previous Air Force 1 released, and will be included as part of Nike's AF100 collection this winter.

The Roc's own Biggs spoke with Nike about the re-release of the shoe and the meaning behind the iconic Roc-A-Fella logo, “It was great timing for us to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Air Force 1, because we just finished celebrating 20 years of Roc-A-Fella. If you think about Roc-A-Fella, you think about the logo. If you think about sneakers, you think about Air Force 1s. To have our logo on the Air Force 1, is very special to us. Air Force 1s are true to Roc-A-Fella," Biggs told Nike. "The Roc-A-Fella logo means something to all of us. We wear it on our heart. It’s more than just a symbol, it’s about the belief system behind it. It’s loyalty, integrity, relationships, friendships; it’s the brotherhood behind the logo.”

The Nike Air Force 1 Roc-A-Fella sneaker will release nationwide on Thurs., Nov. 30, at select Nike retailers nationwide and online at nike.com.
