XXL Magazine Teams Up With Bape for Special 20th Anniversary Collaboration

XXL Magazine is celebrating 20 years of hip-hop on a higher level and to mark double decades of dominance, we’ve partnered with streetwear game-changers BAPE® for a commemorative T-shirt collaboration.

The 100 percent cotton T-shirt features XXL’s signature logo on the front emblazoned with traditional red BAPE® camouflage. “A BATHING APE®, XXL 20th Anniversary” appears under the recreated XXL logo. A Bathing Ape gifted XXL with these shirts as a congratulations for reaching 20 years in the game.

This collaboration is extremely limited, which means it won’t be available for sale to the public. However, XXL and BAPE are giving away a few shirts in a contest powered by Rafflecopter. For hypebeasts and real fans of the culture and XXL, this is a once-in-a-lifetime cop.

The BAPE x XXL collab comes on the heels of the XXL revealing its Fall 2017 cover stars featuring rappers who’ve helped shape the world of hip-hop over the past 20 years. In an unprecedented move, the artists on the 20th anniversary covers are Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent, Diddy, Wiz Khalifa, Cam’ron, Lil Uzi Vert, Migos, Snoop Dogg, Pusha T, Future, T.I., Fabolous, Rae Sremmurd, Birdman, Run The Jewels, Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane, Tech N9ne, E-40 and The Lox. Throughout the month of October, XXL will be dropping cover stories and video interviews for each artist. So stay tuned to Oct. 2 when those cover stories kick off.
