Adidas Originals continues to reinvent some of its most well-known sneakers by partnering up this month with Hender Scheme, the acclaimed Japanese label, for a super limited edition footwear collection featuring the Three Stripes' most popular silhouettes.

For this release, Hender Scheme remade—MicroPacer, NMD and Superstar silhouettes—and created three handmade luxury sneakers for the adidas brand. Releasing in Scheme’s iconic pastel tone, the MicroPacer is stripped of its signature aesthetic while the NMD has its Boost midsole removed and the Superstar sneaker is elevated to a new level of luxury. All handmade in Tokyo and available in extremely limited quantities, Hender Scheme replaces the original soles of each shoe with a nail-in sole which is fully replaceable.

The tanned leather uppers by Scheme are meant to age beautifully and allow the shoes to take a new appearance as they get older. Releasing with a stunning sneaker box, all three models are built to be worn and will get better and better over time. The sneakers will come equipped with a unique sizing system where the number of nails in the outsole corresponds with each model’s size ranging from one to seven.

The adidas x Hender Scheme collaboration is set to release worldwide on Sat., Sept. 2, at select adidas retailers and accounts. Look for the Three Stripes to release pricing info on the shoes within the days to come.
