Back in November of 2016, Nike unveiled the new version of its Air Force 1 silhouette to the world, with the introduction of the game-changing Special Field AF1 sneaker. Since then, the Swoosh has released multiple colorways of the high-top silhouette, and most recently, the brand introduced a new version of this sneaker in a mid-cut version.

Debuting the Special Field Air Force 1 Mid at the start of the summer, Nike is back with a brand new colorway of the shoe. Introducing a black leather model with hits of grey on the side panel and a brown midsole and outsole to round out, the brand gears up to drop this anticipated silhouette in the coming days. Keeping the signature ankle straps and the grain leather, Nike replaces the nylon upper for a full leather canvas.

Nike‘s announcement on the new version of the SF AF1 Mid came days after the silhouette was leaked online. With multiple shades of the shoe surfacing at the time, sneakerheads patiently awaited the drop of the shoes in early June.

The sneakers are set to release on Sat., July 28, at select Nike Sportswear locations and will also be available for purchase online at nike.com.
