Jordan Brand to Release Air Jordan 5 White/University Red Sneakers

One of the more popular silhouettes from Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan series is without a doubt the eye-catching Air Jordan 5 sneaker. Debuting for the very first time in 1990, the coveted sneakers will make a return this August at select footwear retailers.

Set to release at the top of August, this 2017 version of the Air Jordan 5 will feature a white premium leather upper with hits of university red and black to complement the sneaker's canvas. Jordan Brand's signature elephant print will be added to the shoe's midsole design, while an icy translucent bottom that will close out the sneakers overall look.

The Air Jordan 5 remains as one of Jordan Brand’s most well designed sneakers. Inspired by the fighter planes of WWII, the shoes pay homage to the history of flight and aviation.

The Air Jordan 5 White and University Red iteration is set to return to Jordan Brand and Nike retailers on Sat., Aug. 5, for a suggested price of $190. Look for the shoes to also release at nike.com starting at 10 a.m. EST.
