The collaboration between NikeLab and COMME des GARÇONS was first previewed last year at Paris Fashion Week during the spring 2017 COMME des GARÇONS Homme Plus show. Now, months removed from the first sighting of the pair, NikeLab lets loose of all of the details surrounding this collaboration with coveted designer Rei Kawakubo.

Paying a humorous nod to Hans Christian Andersen’s The Emperor's New Clothes, which resulted in the emperor being tricked into buying and wearing invisible clothing, NikeLab presents a clear version of the Dunk High silhouette. The "Invisible Shoes" will come equipped with a leather overlay in black, over a clear vamp, quarter, tongue and collar. The sneakers reveal foam underneath the tongue and collar, in addition to the wearer’s sock of choice. Featuring holes in the medial quarter to help provide ventilation, the shoes are rounded out by a white midsole that sits atop of black bottom.

Releasing during this year's New York Fashion Week, this collaborative effort between Nike and COMME des GARÇONS, marks the first time both powerhouse brands come together on a project. Dubbed as the "Invisible Shoes," the highly anticipated NikeLab Dunk Hi x COMME des GARÇONS silhouette will be available starting this Wed., Feb. 8, exclusively at COMME des GARÇONS New York.
