The Jordan B.Fly shoe is the latest basketball performance sneaker to be released by the lauded Jordan Brand. Launched in late December of 2016, the Jumpman sneaker has been spotted on the feet of some of the best players in the NBA, including Chicago Bulls' Jimmy Butler, San Antonio Spurs' Kawhi Leonard and Charlotte Hornets' Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

Now, with the shoe receiving plenty of love from players around the league and Jordan Brand supporters, XXL sat down with Kidd-Gilchrist to get his thoughts on the new kicks.

During a special test-wear event for media at Terminal 23 in New York City last week, Kidd-Gilchrist and the Jordan Brand family welcomed a handful of journalists to experience the greatness and innovation of the Jordan B.Fly sneaker. Released in two colorways of black and grey, the B.Fly silhouette's comfort and lightweight feel is immediately recognizable. Equipped with a durable woven upper and responsive cushioning in the interior, the Jordan B.Fly stands as the newest performance sneaker, ideal for ball players across the board.

Kidd-Gilchrist, who's been sporting the Jordan B.Fly on the court since it first dropped last month, highlights the special features of the shoe. “It’s like a sock, it’s light and I enjoy it,” the 23-year-old NBA player shares. Kidd-Gilchrist has repped the Jumpman family since the start of his career in the NBA, "receiving sneaker after sneaker" since his signing with the Jordan Brand in September of 2012. His favorite Jordan Brand sneakers are the "3s and 6s" from the Air Jordan line. Plus, he owns player exclusive heat in his closet.

Every player has that one song they never get tired of hearing and for Kidd-Gilchrist, it's a track from Hov. "I never get tired of hearing 'Song Cry' by Jay Z,'" he shares. "I think it's a classic from Hov. I also think 'Lost Ones' is another song from Jay that I never get tired of. Those two songs are just dope and Jay Z does his thing on them."

Kidd-Gilchrist also names Jay Z as his favorite rapper and The Black Album as the standout project from his catalog.

The newest and most innovative basketball performance shoe to date for Jordan Brand, the Jordan B.Fly, is now available for purchase at Jordan Brand retailers and online nike.com, for a suggested price of $110.
