Nike officially introduced the next Air Force 1 iteration yesterday, with a vibrant video showcasing the new style of the classic shoe, built for the colder days ahead. Designed by Nike Sportswear designer Ben Kirschner, the next chapter of the Air Force 1 is inspired by military footwear and is set to launch at some point this month.

The new wave of the AF1 will feature an upper built with durable ballistic nylon and premium leather and will also include multiple adjustable ankle straps.Releasing in two colorways for men -faded olive/gum and black/gum, the shoes will drop in women’s sizes with two versions of this Special Field AF1 dropping in a light bone/sail colorway and a golden beige/linen colorway.

Taking a page from Nike’s 1983 campaign roll out for the Air Force 1, the Swoosh takes sneakerheads down memory lane with a great reinterpretation of the flight suit ad featuring some of the NBA’s top players. While the details of this new generation of the Air Force 1 are still being unveiled, sneakerheads already have a release date to circle on their calendars for these kicks. With a date set for Saturday, Nov. 5, expect one of these iterations this weekend at select Nike retailers and accounts.
