Air Jordan 9 Kobe Sneakers Get a Release Date

Looking to continue paying homage to the career and legacy of Kobe Bryant, the Jordan Brand is set to release another Black Mamba-inspired silhouette in time for the 2016 holidays.

Dressed in the Los Angeles Lakers team colors of yellow and purple, this Air Jordan 9 Retro will be dubbed as the "Kobe" iteration. Featuring a white leather upper, the sneaker includes hits of purple on the sock liner, heel and the concord patent leather overlay on the toe front. The shoe will also feature yellow accents on the Jordan Brand logos placed on the midsole, tongue and heel while a white midsole closes out the overall look of this pair.

Kobe Bryant's Air Jordan collection line was first unveiled earlier this year after the former Los Angeles Lakers announced his retirement after 20 successful years in the game.

The Air Jordan 9 "Kobe" will debut early at Nike’s upcoming SoHo store opening, with a general release date of the shoes set for Saturday, Nov. 19. This pair of Jordans is said to retail for a suggested price of $190 while supply lasts.
