The Nike Air Foamposite One is one of the most decorated basketball sneakers of all time and with the 20th anniversary of the shoe around the corner, Nike plans to rerelease the original Foamposite silhouette by early next year.

The shoe, made famous by former NBA point guard Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway, is still regarded as one of the most innovative and stylistic shoes to ever come of the Swoosh. Debuting in 1997 during Penny's tenure with the Orlando Magic, the shoe immediately became a must-have among sneakerheads. Now, with Nike set to pay homage to the classic silhouette, the shoe is set to return in all of its glory with the rerelease. Dropping in the long-awaited OG “Dark Neon Royal” colorway, this Foamposite original is already being anticipated by sneakerheads since the rerelease announcement of the Swoosh.

The official return of the original Nike Air Foamposite One XX dubbed as the "20th Anniversary," is slated to release at the top of next year. For more details on this anticipated rerelease, make sure to check back with XXL for more info on this shoe and its possible release date.
