For fall/winter 2016, Boston-based New Balance Athletics is set to release the New Balance MRT580. The Reengineered 580 style will be available beginning Sat., Aug. 1, for $119.95 at NewBalance.com.

The 580 Reengineered refines the classic silhouette with a one-piece upper. Set to be released in four colorways in a jacquard textile that is gradient from back to front, the New Balance MRT580 is an example of the next evolution of New Balance Lifestyle, which offers consumers silhouettes for all types of lifestyles.

This year, the New Balance 580 celebrates its 20th anniversary. Created in 1996, the MT580 silhouette was designed as an off-road trail running shoe inspired by the Made in USA M585. The style featured a full ground contact sole with stability technology, a lightweight cushioning element and high performance absorb technology making it a logical shoe for off-road running. To celebrate the model, New Balance worked with two creative groups -- Lease on Life Society and Musuta -- whose creatives can be seen in NB's global marketing campaign.

The New Balance MRT580 Reengineered will drop in limited quantities and will retail for a suggested price of $119.95.
