Yesterday (June 6), Converse introduced its latest chapter in footwear by unveiling its latest capsule, the Converse Modern collection at the Skylight Modern in New York City. The latest collection from the iconic footwear brand is inspired by the Converse 1920 All Star sneaker and the brand’s heritage in basketball and highlights the new direction of the classic silhouette.

Unveiled in both, the Hi and Ox Converse styles, the brand gives the timeless silhouettes an innovative touch by including the Nike Hyperfuse technology on the outsole of the shoes while including a reinforced TPU-fused overlaid toecap. Another variation to the Converse classics is the neoprene split tongue and lining that adds a more lightweight comfort to the canvas of the shoes. To help introduce the collection, Converse is also set to drop a limited edition Converse All Star Modern HTM sneaker that will be designed by none other than the creative team of Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker. This limited silhouette marks the first time the HTM team designs a shoe outside of the Nike brand.

The Converse All Star Modern HTM sneaker will be available on Thursday, June 9 for $180 and exclusive at NikeLab.com. The Converse All Star Modern collection drops on Thursday, June 16 and will be available at select Converse retailers.
