In a year where pop-up stores have become the trend for a lot of clothing brands and music artists, XXL looks back at the best pop-up locations in 2016 thus far.

From the likes hip-hop artists like Kanye West and Drake to major corporations like Jordan Brand and Nike, pop-up stores have become the “new” thing to bring in revenue and build hype around a certain collection of items or collaborative projects. With Kanye claiming to have made more than two million dollars in two days with his NYC Pablo location, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper has certainly capitalized and learned from the success of his first pop-up, by having already launched a few more surprise locations in Los Angeles and most recently in Paris.

While decorations for a lot of pop-ups are kept minimal for consumers to focus on the product, pop-up locations like Jordan Brand’s “Flu Game” store in Utah and A$AP Bari’s VLONE store in Los Angeles, offered its attendees a dope facility to not only buy product, but to enjoy the different amenities the respective venues offered.

With that said, XXL rounded up the 8 best pop-up locations of 2016 so far. Check them out after the jump.
