As Kevin Durant prepares for the season’s final stretch, he’ll be equipped with the Nike KD8 Elite: a technically advanced, provocative new version of his eighth signature shoe with the Swoosh. This particular shoe will mark the transition from a low top sneaker to high silhouette, a first for the popular KD8 sneaker.

Created in collaboration with designer Leo Chang, the breakthrough KD8 basketball shoe features a calf-length compression sock, full-length visible Nike Zoom Air cushioning and Flywire technology with Kevlar aramid fiber. Releasing first in a clean and eye-catching white colorway that'll be perfect for the spring weather, the new and and improved KD8 will also drop in a black and grey colorway.

Renowned designer Chang spoke with Nike about the latest installment of the KD8 and broke down the idea behind the new iteration of the shoe, “Transitioning from a low to high is a decision we made with confidence based on our ongoing feedback from Durant to always push the limit on innovative design."

The Nike KD8 Elite white colorway will be available globally on Thursday, April 14 at Nike.com and at select Nike retail locations around the country. The two additional colorways will be available starting Saturday, May 5 (grey) and Saturday, May 26 (black). Look for further KD8 colorways to be announced within the weeks to come.
