Last night, Nike held a special media-only event that gave tastemakers and several publications a look at the Air Max Con in New York City. The dynamic pop-up space located in the Downtown section of Manhattan served as the ultimate Air Max experience and featured plenty of highlights throughout the night. With a packed house and notable figures from the hip-hop and lifestyle world in attendance, Air Max Con was the place to be at last night.

Giving attendees a preview of the multi-day sneaker convention, Air Max Con showcases the journey of the classic Swoosh signature line through the heritage, design and innovation of the Air Max. Divided into different sections, Nike's Air Max Con takes you all the way to 1987, the year the first Air Max sneaker was released, and brings you up to speed on the current Air Max silhouettes, as well as the future of the popular sneaker line. The all-Air Max location counted with the presence of coveted jeweler, Mr. Flawless, who showed off his iced-out custom sneaker pieces that were covered in diamonds and gold. Also in attendance were, Art Bronze, the individuals responsible for the bronze bust featured on Jadakiss' last album. Matt and Alex helped provide special bronze sculptures of the Air Max Zero and Air Max 1 silhouettes. Throughout the night, attendees we're treated to milk and cereals courtesy of KITH and Nike, and Nike-goers even got a chance to get their sneakers clean with the help of Jason Markk.

With the global celebration of the Nike Air Max sneaker line set to happen on Saturday, March 26, Nike will help ring the day with three Nike Air Max Con locations in New York City, Tokyo and Hong Kong. For those located in NYC, Air Max Con will be held from March 24-26. Make sure to check Nike.com for details on how to attend the ultimate Air Max experience.
