Today (Jan. 13), Nike announced the release date for the 2016 Black History Month collection. This year's collection includes BHM-inspired pieces across all of Nike's divisions. From Nike Basketball, Lifestyle, Tennis, Running and more, Nike is set to takeover January with a slew of releases.

Since debuting in 2005, the Nike Black History Month collection has become a symbolic capsule for the Oregon-based brand and has evolved from a single Nike Air Force 1 to an extensive product collection that pays homage to the achievements of black athletes worldwide. The Black History Month collection not only honors and celebrates Black heritage but it also helps provide financial support to Nike’s Ever Higher Fund, which was created to bring mentorship, sport and all of its benefits to African American youth.

The limited-edition BHM 2016 collection features an array of 28 products from tennis, basketball, football, running, Nike iD and Jordan Brand. Featuring a vivid Pan African-inspired color palette, with custom geometric motifs, the collection is set to kick off with the Nike Basketball division which includes the LeBron 13, KD8, Kyrie 2 and the Kobe 11 Elite. Other 2016 BHM launches include: Air Force 1, Nike Air Footscape Magista and Nike Roshe One footwear from Nike Sportswear; Nike Court Flare footwear from Tennis; Streak LT 3 footwear from Running; and the Jordan Spike 40, Air Jordan 1 Nouveau and AJ1 High for girls from Jordan Brand. A BHM-themed Nike iD Roshe One and Magista Obra FG Cleat follow in February.
