Every Award show has its trend, and the 2014 BET Awards defitniely counted with one last night, and that was the epidemic of Red Flannel shirts.

Although the trend began in the 90's during the grunge era, it seems like the revival of the flannel has been in full effect since 2013 in the hipster communities, and has now made its way to the mainstream of America with artists such as Chris Brown, Tyga, August Alsina and more sporting red flannels during their performances at the BET Awards.

The garment known to be specially made for the working class and lumberjacks of America, has changed over time when it comes to the structure and its original features. Take for example Chris Brown last night, the "Loyal" singer sported an extended red flannel with zippers on the side as well as adding another red flannel underneath his fit wrapped around his waist.

With red flannels getting plenty of air time last night thanks to all the artists rocking them, we're sure that an increase of flannels in any colorway will be invading your hood.

Since the red flannel theme was big last night, lets take a look at 5 of the entertainers that sported the garment last night at the BET Awards.
