The Air Jordan V "Grape" is by far one of the year's most anticipated releases. A widely popular shoe in the Jordan Brand retro collection, the Grapes have garnered plenty of attention for years without it even being worn by the great Michael Jordan in a game. With no special statistics or in-game moments tied to them, the shoe was a lifestyle release—one of the first in the AJ Retro collection—and arrived in the Summer of 1990, embossed with the "Nike Air" logo. The flick of MJ above, on the cover of of Nike's 1990 Air Jordan Flight Collection lookbook is a classic reminder of how revered the Grapes are. And who can forget the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air himself, Will Smith gracing our television sets in a pair of the OG colorways on set of the memorable TV sitcom.
