Some see 2012 as the end of the world; Nike sees it as a reason to celebrate.

The storied brand is celebrating the 30th anniversary of their iconic Air Force 1. In honor of that occasion, they have secured a space at Brooklyn's Barclays Center for their new pop up shop, Pivot Point, located at 620 Atlantic Avenue, which opened last week and will be open through Sunday, December 23.

In addition to paying homage to the original sneaker as well as three decades of releases, the space is also introducing the Nike Lunar Force 1. At the spot, patrons can cop that sneaker, plus FuelBands and Nike Bespoke.

"I was just traveling last week, and just being able to see how that shoe has become global," said Marc Dolce, Nike Sportswear Design Director, of the AF1. "Even though people say it and hear it, when we actually see kids and talk to kids, that’s kind of crazy. It started off in Baltimore. Being able to have kids connect with the product in Europe and Asia I think is really cool. Just their knowledge is pretty remarkable."

Pivot Point will be open through December 23 from 12 PM – 7 PM.
