Look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane...Nope it's the NBA's first-ever super hero, BrooklyKnight. That's right, announced by the NBA earlier today (November 5) both Marvel Entertainment and the Brooklyn Nets have banded together to create Brooklyn's new super hero, BrooklyKnight, "protector of Brooklyn's hometown team, defender of New York's largest and most courageous borough, and ruler of Barclays Center." The first superhero in NBA history, the new mascot made his debut Saturday night (November 3) at the Brooklyn Nets' first regular season game at Barclays Center against the Toronto Raptors. To celebrate his first appearance, Marvel Customs Solutions and the Nets created BrooklyKnight #1, a 32-page comic book written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Mike Deodato. Fans who attend the Nets' November 11th game against the Orlando Magic will be treated with limited edition BrooklyKnight trading cards courtesy of Marvel Custom Solutions.

"Forged from the blood, sweat and tears of Brooklyn itself —always ready to defend his home and defeat all challengers— all hail the BrooklyKnight!" exclaimed Marvel Custom Solutions' Editor, Bill Rosemann. "Brooklyn, your champion is here!"
