A clothing company by the name of Urban Motive Sportswear has filed a lawsuit against Nike for using their trademark on a Michael Jordan jacket, reports TMZ.

According to a lawsuit filed in Illinois, "Lottery Pick" is a trademark that Urban Motive Sportswear has been using on energy drinks, sportswear apparel and other merchandise for years, since registering the slogan back in 2004. Now, Urban claims Nike blatantly stole their trademark by selling a jacket called "Jordan LS Lottery Pick Jacket." They are suing Nike for trademark infringement and seeking unspecified damages. Jordan is not a named defendant.

In the docs, Urban says this trademark infringement has "damaged [them] in a manner that cannot be fully measured or compensated in economic terms and for which there is not adequate remedy at law." Urban says Nike's use of the trademark is particularly damaging to their business because Urban did a lot of marketing in Chicago, where Jordan played most of his career, and claim they even gifted some gear to MJ's son.

A rep for Nike told TMZ they do not comment on pending litigation. Calls to the Charlotte Bobcats, the NBA team owned by Michael Jordan, were not returned to the entertainment site, either. —Gina Montana
