Swizz Beatz has embracned his recent role as the Creative Director of Reebok with great measure.

Not only is he involved with the re-release of The Questions (former NBA star Allen Iverson’s signature sneakers), but Mr. Dean also plans to create a collection of clothes inspired by the works of noted contemporary American artists Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol.

During the music video shoot for the A$AP Rocky-assisted single “Street Knock” (April 7) in New York City, the Ruff Ryders’ golden child wore several pieces from this upcoming collection, including a white fitted with Keith Haring's Barking Dog on its crown and a pair of white jeans decorated with strips of Haring's other celebrated works.

“Bringing Reebok back is earning my keep,” Swizz Beatz said. “[Reebok] allows me to get Basquiat and Haring, while these other brands send out a bunch of sneakers, but aren’t into cutting checks for the culture.”

Swizzy's appreciation for art goes a step further, as he showcased his tattoos—art pieces by Haring, Warhol and Basquiat.

“I got Keith Haring right here on my motherfucking shoulder!” Swizz Beatz proclaimed, reassuring his appreciation for the artists.

While several sneakers and outer garments from the Basquiat-inspired line are available, pieces influenced by Keith Haring’s art haved yet to receive a release date. As of press time, Reebok is still in the process of acquiring the rights to use the work of Andy Warhol from the artist’s estate.

In the past, Swizz Beatz was involved with the creative process behind the popular designer toys retailer Kid Robot, and partook in a collaborative effort with French luxury line Christian Louboutin. —Jaeki Cho (@JaekiCho)
