Japanese stylist and photographer Takashi Kumagai has teamed up with European based Illesteva to release a very limited run of 30 glasses that appear as if you aren’t wearing them from a distance.

Illesteva was founded in 2009 by Daniel Silberman and Jus Ske, the duo push their level of design by exploring fresh shapes and materials like acetate, bamboo, wood and titanium.

The two designers have supplied celebrities including Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Julia Roberts, Kate Bosworth and Katy Perry with designs unlike any other.

Takashi poured his design views, photography skills and his “beach” lifestyle into the concept of the frame he created.

The limited frame has a shape inspired by Mohandas Gandhi and Takashi wanted to create a small, clear frame that when viewed from a distance doesn’t look like the person is wearing a pair of glasses and is unlike any style that is out there.

The frame will be available March 30 only at Biotop Japan and Illesteva.com, they are hand made in Italy and will retail for $380/¥ 31,500 yen.
