Jay-Z, Kanye West to Auction Off “Otis” Maybach

Jay-Z and Kanye West are putting that chopped-up Maybach from the "Otis" video to good use. According to Left Lane News,  the $350,000 whip has been donated to charity and will be auctioned off at a Phillips de Pury event in New York on March 8.

Although the vehicle is expected to sell for less than a third of its original value, it is still slated to pull in around $100,000 for the Save the Children foundation, according to the UK's Daily Mail.

‘"Funds raised from auctioning off the 'Otis' car are greatly needed to help sustain families over the next several months," said Save the Children CEO Carolyn Miles. "We are grateful to Jay-Z and Kanye West for offering up pop culture history to do good for children in Africa."

Production company Daimler officially brought an end to the manufacturing of the Maybach luxury brand late last year after it sold only 157 cars in 2011. —Mariel Concepcion
