Monster Energy drink recently teamed up with iStandard, a company dedicated to pairing up-and-coming producers with music industry insiders. Working together, the energy drink tycoon and bridging music corporation go across the country to 20 cities, holding showcases where producers can interact with record label executives, renowned producers, artists and more. In doing so, the two help introduce rising producers so some of the major players of the music business.

The 2011 iStandard Producer Showcase series took place last Saturday and Sunday (November 5 and 6) at Webster Hall in New York City. Titling the showcase, Beast of the Beats, the upcoming producers received feedback from figures such as Sha Money XL (Senior VP of A&R at Def Jam) and Zach Katz (CEO of Beluga Heights / Manager of J.R. Rotem).

The winner won a Monster Energy Drink endorsement, a trip to Atlanta a for studio time with XXL Freshman, Yelawolf and products from Native Instruments, Aerial 7 and IK Multimedia.
