Jay-Z Biography Hitting Stores in March 2011

One week after Jay-Z’s book Decoded hit stores, the Penguin Group has announced that they will be releasing their own biography on the rap legend in March.

Penned by Forbes staff writer Zack O’Malley Greenburg, the book—titled Empire State of Mind: How Jay-Z Went From Street Corner to Corner Office—will feature interviews with Damon Dash, DJ Clark Kent, ?uestlove, Fab 5 Freddy and MC Serch, among others.

The 206-page tome follows the hip-hop mogul from his early days as a drug dealer in Brooklyn’s Marcy Projects to topping Forbes’ hip-hop earners list. In addition it will also include Jay’s "Ten Commandment for Business."

Empire State of Mind is set to hit stores on March 17, 2011. —Elan Mancini
