Tupac Shakur has once again landed on Forbes Magazine’s Top-Earning Dead Celebrities list after his estate pulled in a whopping $9 million during the period between October 2006 and this month. ‘Pac’s name appears alongside top earning celebrity names such as John Lennon and Elvis Presley on the 13 spot list that tracks earnings generated from merchandising, back music catalogs and royalties. The late rap legend first appeared on the list in 2002 at No. 10 with $7 million in posthumous revenue. Although he failed to make the list in subsequent years, the sale of the rights to his music catalog in May—for $5 million—easily earned him a spot on the 2007 listing, placing him ahead of universally recognizable names such as Marilyn Monroe, Bob Marley and James Brown.
