#LONDONBOY is just a nickname that he has accepted so it is kinda a trade mark for him for now.And I believe he switched from hard grime cause he wanted to make it to the international scene,grime only does well in the UK and he is thinking of breaking boundaries.Tinie might be a better rapper but does he have a hit better than CHAMPION?The boy has got hard bars and he is gonna make it I swear.I see him taking grammys and shid.But he might want to leave grans hustle someday.he should get a platinum truss

i dont know why people hate on this guy … i personally think he got a lot better i was born in the UK and moved to the US so i see both sides kinda (i support the UK in anything sports wise) and he’s right in the UK people dont understand rap as much as they do over here all we want in the UK is something catchy but in the US they want rap they can “bob” their head too. he better work with B.o.B or i’ll kill someone lol

I’m from London and to have Chipmunk reppin us on the international stage is a disgrace. London has far more talent in spitting bars than Chip smh. I’d like to see real UK rap make it on an international stage that the wack shit that gets put out. Chip is creating his own lane. It won’t guarantee longevity but it will definitely give him an opportunity to get paid. He works hard and has bars that will take him a long way in the streets.

I’m really excited for Chip cause i feel him and Iggy can be potentially great. What i respect about Chip is that he is invested into his artisty. He could have continued to make easy pop songs to fill the bank but he choose to have intigity. Before Champion, i wasnt a fan so i understand some of the hate he gets. However, since ‘Champion’ he has provided really sick tunes that show his talent. To have T.I be ur mentor is an amazing thing so i’m excited. Chip isn’t looking for his 15mins of fame. Him and Iggy are for the long run. Looking forward to this mixtape!

Good interview. The collab with Meek Mill sounds like a good idea. The accent issue shouldn’t be that hard to overcome. Hopefully people will look beyond that and actually listen to the lyrics. ‘every gyal’ is my jam :)!!!

being english myself and seeing his career go from grime to mainstream pop he has got worse, miles worse, in fact he is incredibly wack now. when he first hit the grime scene at 14/15 he had some aite songs, check out ‘who are you’ or ‘beast’……….by chipmunk (before he got cool) when english grime was sick beats and dangerous lyrics
