      the article is missing things…

      Eazy-E (Real MF G’s)
      Dogg Pound (NY,NY)
Capone N Noreaga’s part in LA, LA
50 going at Ghostface (and GZA’s Paper Planes)
Jada & Styles P (Shots Fired)
      Kane & Rakim throwing subliminals

to name a few…and the populous is letting you know to stop that blasphemy about Jay…Rakim is the God MC…

You spot on with these things they left off….I noticed they forgot Cube beefed with Cypress Hill ….B-Real kinda ethered homey on No Rest for The Wicked…

          Q! Waddups?

I ain’t surprised about the omissions…even though I was annoyed Boot Camp didn’t get a nod for going at Biggie…

but it’s good to show the youngins there nothing wrong with a rap battle…and something is wrong with Drake, because he actually wants to fight Common…hot topic tomorrow…

i really wish this magazine would stop calling jay-z the God mc. i kno da niggas nice but he’s far from the God of the genre

  5. Nino  | January 23, 2012 5:48 pm

They only call him God Mc ’cause he got money, u know money buy respect, other than that Jay-Z is highly overrated, Nas, Rakim, Kool G Rap, Eminem are way better than him but they don’t seem to have the same respect…..and don’t even bullshit me talkin ’bout consistency ’cause the industry is full of politics.

Once again Jay Z is OVERRATED to the core. God MC? hahaha you kidding me? I could care less what anyone says there are rappers much better than Jay Z all time. NAS, EM, Kool g rap, KRS one, Big L, biggie, pac, AZ, and the grandaddy of them all RAKIM. Now I ain’t saying Jay is whack cuz he isn’t but COME ON NOW he is not as good as everybody makes him out to be. Fine he has a lot of money but does money now decide who the best is? then maybe we should put wayne in the conversation. SMH. and for those who are getting salty over an article just because your fave rapper is not on there does not mean he is not a good MC. he just stays out of beefs and trouble and that’s a good thing. sheesh pple be reading too much into everything.

i like eminem when he goes into battle his voice goes up a couple of octaves , he sounds really pissed off and you know its about to go down. llcoolj has been battling dudes since the 80s and has never lost a battle hip hop should give him a championship belt .krs one is also a beast on the mic he could rap till hes a 100 and still be rellevant nuff respect .

XXL is calling Jay-Z the God MC because Jay-Z calls himself that. Jay Hova = Jehovah. Jehovah = God. It has nothing to do with money.

KRS-One and Nelly’s battle “sort of a draw?” Since Krs’s “Ova here,” and “You don’t really want it,” back in 2002, where’s Nelly’s career been since? KRS destroyed Nelly and ended his career too!

    • aaron  | January 23, 2012 11:43 pm

if you think this was a battle..then you do not know how much KRS would have SMASHED HIM…….I like Nelly, but I love KRS ONE! think about it! hisname is a RHYME!!!!!…
