I have been following Kendrick for the last couple of years now and I must say I was surprised to see him on a Drake album. This song was kinda like Vanity Slave 1.5 . It's just the thought of destroying yourself over this lifestyle that can "put you in a pine box". Even with Ol' Dirty to even jealously (Big L) this game has created many of casualties in the wake of many positives. Kendrick is the voice of a new generation, a world where age doesn't exist, where people can find out anything no matter how old or young. Kendrick has breathed new life to rap and showed that having a different subject matter doesn't make you gangster or Hip Hop: you make you, those who invent themselves for cameras are fake and will eventually be caught as fake cause they cant switch their style. They are still slaves to the same one dimentional bullshit they spew. I love Kendrick and if he stays true to himself, he will be recognized as the greatest rapper alive. No joke, this dude is that good!

Are you sure you listen to Kendrick's music like that? It's not too far off from his quote unquote regular flow, its not like there's a specific way he raps on each of his tracks I mean this is just one verse of one song don't you feel like you're over reacting a little bit? Compare this to ADHD, is it really that "weird"? My goodness don't have a heart attack he'll have other opportunities.

I am a fan of music. I love music. I collect music and immerse myself in it at every chance I get. I love Kendrick Lamar's music. I listen to Drake but he has no diversity in his music. His rhymes are monotonous and not relatable to a lot of people, although I love grinding on a female to his music I do not find my self as amazed with his sonics as much as I find my self with Kendrick Lamar's. That all being said, WTF was up with Kendrick Lamar's guest spot on "Take Care"!? When I first heard of his appearance I got excited, seeing it as a huge opening for Kendrick to progress into even more main stream publicity with his career, then I heard the interlude. Then I replayed it several times. Then I got upset and shut the album off. Kendrick Lamar is undisputedly one of the most talented artists of our generations. His combination of "lyrical wizardry," valid subject matter, diverse and unique production, and all over steez is absolutely untouchable in 2011. Why did he have such a bizarre, awkward rhyme on "Take Care"? Why would he choose to switch his style to such randomness during such an opportunity? Why would he rap about meeting Drake.....on Drake's album? In closing, I was simply disappointed by Kendrick Lamar's interlude. I still retain my great appreciation for his artistry and hope to see him live in NYC at his own show in the future, and I wish him the best in his career, but I cannot make sense of this. Does anyone agree with me? Does someone have an explanation? Maybe I am missing something too obvious?
