nah, bro. he’s saying that all the east-coast rappers kanye started working with he met thru d-dot. d-dot was in NY while No ID was in the chi with ye’; so how could dot have possibly mentored kanye at that time?

yeah he did shout him out but what D Dot is saying is that No I.D. is NOT his mentor that he is, he is the one that introduce Kanye to No I.D. Jay, Puff, Raekwon but Kanye would say that No I.D is his mentor

hold up!!! i distinctly remember kanye shouting him out at the end of “last call” on college dropout saying that he wouldn’tve been on if he didn’t do the ghost production for d-dot. that’s probably even the source of info for the interviewer.

if anything, as far as the behind the music thing, d-dot should take that issue up with vh1. i’m sure there are alot of things that were left out of ALL the behind the music episodes.
