I will give him props on this though…

when I watched the BET Hip-hop awards, I was getting more and more frustrated at the bullshit performances. Since when did these niggas forget that they supposed to rap over instrumentals and not the fuckin CD?

Just when I was questioning whether or not any of these niggas would put on a real “hip-hop” performance, that nigga Soulja Boy came out and did that shit. Me and my brother couldn’t do nothin but laugh because it caught us so off guard, but I actually had to say, “now that’s how you rock.”

Of course Luda came out and really killed it, but Soulja Boy was one of the only people rappin over an instrumental instead of his CD, the beat was knockin, and he had actual stage presence. I was actually impressed by the performance.

That being said, dude still ain’t gon’ never get in my deck, especially not these damn mixtapes, but I respect him a little more after that.

U cant knock dudes grind….he’s trying. theres alot of rappers that dont even got the mindset to try n put out 3 different mixtapes just to find out where their album should lean towards. he even stepped his punchlines up i been said his problem is he raps too slow that it just sounds retarded…year after year dude is growing as an artist…you wont catch me buying his album unless he REALLY steps it up but im over writing him off…he gonna be here for a while
