Ashle Danger isn't new to the scene. This multi-racial model from New Jersey has been featured in both magazines (Dynasty Series, Hip-Hop Weekly), and clothing lines (Surf King Collection), and has worked with everyone from Gym Class Heroes to 50 Cent. What may make her stand far apart from the rest is her phoenix tattoo, which is nothing if not a conversation starter. I recently had a chance to sit down with this distinctive model, and we talked about everything from her bad experiences in the industry, to working with 50 Cent, to the best advice she ever received.

On why she no longer has a crush on Travis McCoy (of Gym Class Heroes)...

I used to have a crush on Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes but he was really an asshole in person. I met him on a video set. While they were doing the model arrangements for the set, they placed most of the Spanish girls close together and set me to the opposite side and told me to hold the dog. When I saw the video, I wasn't even in it. I had done a favor for a friend being sent to the video because it wasn't even a paid gig. His crew, like the make-up artist, were all very nasty and rude, too. When the food came for the room she told me I shouldn't eat anything because I would look bloated. Mind you, I had only ordered fries and I'm only 5'4, 110. She was like 5'0 and 95lbs and was telling me how she was on some type of pills to keep her weight down. I felt like I was in a real circus.

On why she likes working with 50 Cent...

My best experience was working with 50 Cent for his SMS Audio Sync headphones launch event as one of the promotional models. He's always such a sweetheart to work with, the event was a success and I love events where I get to network with different people in the industry.

On what she's got lined up for the first quarter of 2013...

I have my website, AshleDanger.com, dropping soon, as well as my different blog and a web series dropping online. I have a few really cool endorsements dropping like a custom skateboard that features my images and a few clothing brands I'm working with. Also, I hope to drop some of my music this year as well.

On why she's more than just a pretty face...

I'm funny, passionate and I can be a bit of a weirdo in a cool and sexy way. Too many girls take themselves way too seriously, but I don't take myself seriously at all. I just take my business serious. I think my personality always shows in my style, and my smile. I'm very unpredictable and I think that's what makes a good entertainer in this industry. Anything too predictable is boring, and I hate boring.

On the best advice she's ever received...

Never let people push you away from your dreams. People who haven't reached their goals will always try to pull you back from yours but that's a better reason to push forward and prove to yourself how strong your ambition is. You owe no one nothing, but you owe yourself everything. — Bernadette Giacomazzo (@bgiacomazzo)
