Charlamagne, you’re an opinionated prick, but I like that. You have good concepts, but you have the writing ability of a 4th grader. Your success in this industry is proof of the acceptance in our society of mediocrity. Our culture no longer appreciates great minds, but it worships over-inflated egos that ejaculate their opinions all over the computer screens and airwaves, such as yourself, who doesn’t even know the difference between “to” and “too.” So even though you speak of mentally poor people, you perpetuate the system that keeps them mentally poor. Your post has so much potential to be profound, however anyone with half a brain and a middle school education can see that it’s poorly written and full of grammatical errors. If you’re going to choose writing as your medium of getting points across, then you should probably write eloquently. I respect Charlamagne for this post here. I agree with what he is saying and I am glad to see somebody else in this industry who is for the people. To many of our people who are artist or people in positions to the public’s eye do not represent us. They tend to forget about their people and misrepresent us. There is a group called Dynamic Certified who is trying to bring that type of music back to the people. Check them out at dyanamiccertified.com. I hope more people get on this same page and start doing for the people, which is what hip hop was created and meant for.

Great post bro! I feel every word that is written on this blog, and I feel that is what the game is missing right now: a voice of reason. Too many people under that I Shun Anything Intelligent Act *ChiCity lingo alert!*, and find comfort in ignorance. It’s almost like u have to stoop to their level 2 bring them back up to your level, and it’s a shame when the kids feel the same way. I’m an artist myself (not a rapper, calling me that is like calling a grown man a bitch in my eyes), and I see what the Bible means about “What is it for a man to gain the world but lose his soul” play out on the daily bcuz people out here selling their soul for a “Happy Mil”. Even a complex subject such as the Illuminati is just giossip amongst people who do not understand that the music industry is just small beans to a secret society that practically runs the whole globe!

But I think there is room nowadays for people who seek to uplift rather than step on toes and I believe a large part of the public is open to that since the world is oversaturated with random acts of stupidity now. So as long as folk like u and I give people what they want (The Truth) things will even out in the long run. That’s why my new motto is “The Truth Never Goes Out of Style”. So Peace to you Charlemagne, and may Yahwe and Yeshua Cover and Bless you to continue to spit that Truth!!!
