It is kinda foul how niggaz do Dame. He was the one who vouched for Kanye… Kanye decided to stay with Jay. Mos Def was duckin with DD172,(and did a move with Dame before) only to sign to GOOD music. Jay Electronica was a regular at DD172, he guests on Pilot Talk and the Ski Beatz album, and he bailed on both Dame and Diddy.

I don’t necasarily blame him. Roc Nation and Hov is a good move, and Hov is probably the most successful rapper of all time, plus theres only Jay, J-cole, Jay Elec and Willow Smith on the label right to my knowledge, so Jay Elec could be a focus of attention, soon like prob right after J Cole drops. I wouldn’t have gone with Diddy, his track record on Bad Boy is horrendous after Biggie died. But I think DD172/ Creative Control would be a good fit for dude. Dame’s new movement is underground based, but the artists stay doing shows and putting out music without compromising artistic freedom. Curren$y dropped 2 albums this year for example. I think Jay Elec should have given that situation a closer look, it may have been a much better fit for dude.
