I think that it’s en-vogue to be a dilla head. Many people here weren’t on Dilla like that until he passed. They didn’t know who he was. Instantly I see people I’ve never seen talk about dilla rocking I love Dilla shirts.

That said, I’m broke as I state on my blog daily. I aint got no money to give. I give support by talking about it becuase I work that night and I’m to tired to walk my fat ass out there either (I work the overnight shift and get off mid-morning).

Much love the the family, and I hope more people turn out year after year.

I am a a hugh Dilla head.I didn’t get anything. And if I did the bulletin probably got flooded. Thats not the best way to contact people because if you have 350 friends on your music page you’re gonna get a billion bulletins. Plus I don’t check my daily.

damn i miss Dilla as an MC and Producer, i been bumpin the Champion Sound Delux Edition in regular rotation the past 2 months…… lifes short! and yeah i’m 28 so i admit most of the younger ones only know of him thru tribute moreso than his actual body of work…

Many of Dilla supporters are in their late 20′s to early 30′s that’s the crowd that they need to go out for because most of the Dilla heads in that age group has money to spend. I chalk that up as bad marketing. In order to get a massive outpouring of support you have to go to areas of town,clubs, or venues that these types of people hang and get the support. Most of the new hip-hop era thundercats don’t know nothing about Dilla. So how can they support.

Yeah Uncle Herm, Dila’s uncle, is real passionate about this event. And as many heads in Atlanta talking bout they love love Dilla, the evetn was promoted fairly decent last year and only 10 people showed up. It was more heads at the Dumpster Dive afterparty!
