Unless Nas comes with a dope first single that crosses over he won't sell. He's had a few big records, but he's a toss up if he sells big or not, look at the last album. The south isn't killing hip hop, just the rappers that do snap music. Yeah snap from the south, but not all of us are on that down here. It's just a fad right now, it'll be dead in another year or two.

Wassup everybody first time posting a comment. For one I just want 2 say Nas is my favorite solo artist. I am really looking forward 2 his brand new album which speaks the utmost truth just by its title. But I really don't want 2 beleive that so far there are no Preemo tracks. But this is only a brief part of the album and I'm pretty sure it's fire anyway, and Preemo won't be absent. It does seem kind of crazy that Jay-Z pushed Nas album back just so he can make his fans shut-up. But we need both of them back 2 put New York back on the map and also make room 4 more REAL HIP HOP ARTISTS 2 do the same 4 their state and rep 4 the culture (not bullshit). Oh yeah I'm glad Nas did a collabo with both him and The Game,it shows unity that we need right now in Hip Hop not division. PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not worried about Nas at all and this HIP-HOP IS DEAD album. If he does him and doesn't try too hard at doing what everyone else is doing, then he will be fine. I think it's kinda screwed up that his album gets pushed back now that Jay is coming out on November 21st, but hey, what can you say--Jay's the "boss" lol!

Before I shut up and go back in my little corner, I have three points to make. In terms of the "I don't even pick cotton out of aspirin bottles" quote, whoever can't dig around the cotton to get the aspirin out and says it's impossible must not be a very crafty person. I've had plenty of aspirin bottles where I didn't even need to take the cotton out...I just needed a bad enough headache to say F*CK THE COTTON!! Simply put, it's not that serious, so get over it!

Second, in terms of the Jay and Nas "battle" and "war", I love the both of them equally as emcees and dudes that changed the game and set the standard for reputable artists. Nas won the "battle" of beating Jay-Z lyrically and reasserting himself as a relevant hip-hop artist. However, Jay-Z is now Nas's boss and can pull a lot more strings as he flirts with his new chick called "corporate America". Thus, because his former enemy has signed on the dotted line with a company of which he is president by way of a joint venture, I think Jay is winning the "war". Bottom line, you could resolve the beef all you want, but you don't sign with your former foe and he's now your boss. That's more leverage for him to clown you if things go sour, and trust me, things in the business can go real sour real quick.

Third, will people shut up about this whole "New York is dead" or "the South is runnin' it" bullsh** in trying to dis somebody else!! Nas ain't gonna dis the South when he's done a few joints with one of the best rappers from the South of all time, Scarface. Plus, he went to holler at Lil' Jon for "Quick to Back Down" and was on "Grand Finale" on the CRUNK JUICE album, not to mention he did "Virgo" with Ludacris off his last album. Nas knows what's hot and what's suspect, so y'all dudes need to quit. Yeah, Nas is gonna crap all over a bunch of people's joints that's coming out or that are already out, but it ain't got nothin' to do with him being from New York; it's got everything to do with him being a legend, period point blank.

I think it’s kinda screwed up that his album gets pushed back now that Jay is coming out on November 21st, but hey, what can you say–Jay’s the “boss” lol!

Before I shut up and go back in my little corner, I have three points to make. In terms of the “I don’t even pick cotton out of aspirin bottles” quote, whoever can’t dig around the cotton to get the aspirin out and says it’s impossible must not be a very crafty person. I’ve had plenty of aspirin bottles where I didn’t even need to take the cotton out…I just needed a bad enough headache to say F*CK THE COTTON!! Simply put, it’s not that serious, so get over it!

Second, in terms of the Jay and Nas “battle” and “war”, I love the both of them equally as emcees and dudes that changed the game and set the standard for reputable artists. Nas won the “battle” of beating Jay-Z lyrically and reasserting himself as a relevant hip-hop artist. However, Jay-Z is now Nas’s boss and can pull a lot more strings as he flirts with his new chick called “corporate America”. Thus, because his former enemy has signed on the dotted line with a company of which he is president by way of a joint venture, I think Jay is winning the “war”. Bottom line, you could resolve the beef all you want, but you don’t sign with your former foe and he’s now your boss. That’s more leverage for him to clown you if things go sour, and trust me, things in the business can go real sour real quick.

Third, will people shut up about this whole “New York is dead” or “the South is runnin’ it” bullsh** in trying to dis somebody else!! Nas ain’t gonna dis the South when he’s done a few joints with one of the best rappers from the South of all time, Scarface. Plus, he went to holler at Lil’ Jon for “Quick to Back Down” and was on “Grand Finale” on the CRUNK JUICE album, not to mention he did “Virgo” with Ludacris off his last album. Nas knows what’s hot and what’s suspect, so y’all dudes need to quit. Yeah, Nas is gonna crap all over a bunch of people’s joints that’s coming out or that are already out, but it ain’t got nothin’ to do with him being from New York; it’s got everything to do with him being a legend, period point blank.

Yea...Nas shouldn't have worked with Jay. We don't need unity in hip-hop...he should just say inside his own camp. Jay is trying to take all of Nas's money and hurt his sales. Because if Jay's cd came out after Nas's, Nas would sell a lot more copies....

Let's be serious...how many of ya'll actually still buy albums?..from the store? Either your a Nas fan or a Jay fan...the music will sell it. If they came out on the same day I would buy both. Also, Will.i.am is a pretty good producer. I'm looking forward to Nas's album.

thanks for the info but you messed with the suspense or didn't get the truth......... now people will expect all this and more and it may not be all good for sales (hype sells sometimes) other times it dimminishes a classical album. i sure hope the album aint all over the net before dec. cause nas deserves an album not a couple overplayed hits. Marketing is just way overdone these days from the radio mags .coms early leaks mixtapes........, and its not working.
