Mtv plays the crappy rap. Underground classic rap like NWA, beastie boys, Wu Tang Clan, ice cube, fort minor, nas, lupe fiasco, styles of beyond and run dmc were great. Rappers like The Game, Mike Jones, Black Eyed Peas, D4L, Dem Franchize Boys, e-40, youngbloodz, lil jon, julez santana and those lame rappers should take rnb like chris brown and regayton with them. Only chamillionaire, paul wall, jay z, and eminem were cool. Mtv plays some good rock but not the same as Panic! at the disco, fall out fagz, and my chemical romance are there. Korn, slipknot, papa roach, metallica, slayer, pantera, linkin park, avenged sevenfold, system of a down, distubred, godsmack, blink 182 and those bands are rarely ever played anymore since “emo” and “candy rap” began

I love rap and hip-hop. HOWEVER! what MTV plays is garbage rap/hip-hop.

Quality over quantity anyday!

what ever happened to the rap videos that had a THEME, an artistic purpose?
how many times can one watch some thick assed ho shakin her self all in your face, before you get sick of it?
and i swear they must use the same damn gold shorts in every video, should call them ‘ho-me-downs’…ugh!
i remember the older videos…when it was just a rapper and his mic! it was about the MUSIC, not the ass, or the bling or that shit they are wearing on their damn teeth! *i wonder how many homes that BULLSHIT bling would help repair down in New Orleans!*
and i remember the videos like Busta Rhymes would put out. wasn’t that just a few years ago? the colors, the tripped out dancing and camera angels. his music was art, but so were his videos; artistic. what the HELL is artistic about some bitch shakin her ass in your face? or is that just a bunch of lame as fuckers tryin TOO hard to act gansta?
the only thing ive seen in the way of artistic these days was the video that Kanye West did w/Pam Anderson. His Evil Knievel spoof “Touch the Sky”. (although Kanye has done his fair share of BULLSHIT rap videos..but i think that’s cause he loves himself),this video was a true artstic accomplishment.

as for MTV…Fukk ‘em! they play too much of that reality show Bullshit. it should be RTV (reality TV)..but there already is one.

or maybe they should just rename the channel altogether. MTV’sBS Hour. i think that has a nice ring to it!

the mtv awards sucked this year. it made k-fed’s performance at the teen choice awards seem more worthwhile. and i think 99.9% of those who viewed that lame ass shit thought it was fucking horrible. that really sums up the mtv awards. we need diddy as host and fat joe and 50 goin at it again. now thats a real award show. amen!

I think that hip hop ain’t selling due to downloading….the hip hop community is notorious for downloading and bootlegging, i mean, how the fuck is hip hop falling off, when it’s pretty much the most dominant aspect of pop culture…
