It’s pretty arrogant of poor black people to think the government cares enough about them at all to put time into bringing down their communities. The government doesn’t give a fuck about poor people, period.

Yup. It’s sickening to think that some people are too stupid to figure that out. I should point out that most of the issues facing our community, WE, ourselves, caused by being so selfish, materalistic, greedy and shallow. You know, that “crab-in-a-barrel mentality”. Everybody’s “out for self” now. No one is willing to help the next person. We gotta stop that shit.

The thing is…regardless of anything, it is up to individual decision to fuck your life up or do the right thing.=The “system” does make it harder on poor urban neighborhoods, I completely agree, but to say that it’s all the fault of “the man” and act like black people are all just innocent ignorant victims is actually really fucking insulting to black people. There is a really fucked up mentality among a lot of black communities, really fucked up. Hip Hop does a great job of highlighting that fucked up mentality and then further proliferating it. Blame falls equally on the shoulders of the individual as well as society in general, no good comes out of skewing it to one side.

It’s really sad how brainwashed and dumb our race has become. A lot of black kids look up to drug dealers, ex cons and crooks. Look at some of the ignorant comments made on this site. We believe shining and partying is more important than getting an education and being a person of integrity and values. Having values, brains, and integrity is “square” to a lot of blacks while doing prison time, having babies mommas, and smoking weed is considered the standard. How backwards is that? It seems to me the only value we have had to crackers since the end of slavery is to either entertain them, or be consumers to them. Don’t believe me. How many niggas have you seen paying five hundred dollar rent pushing a new Benze or ‘Lac. Update: whites have used up our music so now rap is on a downward slide; if they could take our atheletic ability they probably would–then they probably wouldn’t want to see another nigga. Look at how rappers advertise for these bitch ass shoe companies, car manufacturers, and beverage companies. They sell us an image and we buy into it. The most important thing we as blacks can do is instill morals, values, and education in our children. Education is a foundation and is power. When you can speak on many subjects and conduct yourself in a distinguished manner you attain a level of confidence and must be taken seriously. If you don’t know shit but spending your last on clothes and acting like a coon you will never get respect. I don’t think we should sell out and act like them, but we definitely need to focus on academics and restoring black pride. I don’t hate white people but its sad that niggas are on a sinking ship and too ignorant to realize it.)

There’s plenty we can do concerning money issues in the Black community, but first, we need to focus on education. Without education, you are and never will amount to anything. We have too many issues facing us Black folks than to worry about being on the Forbes’ list. I’m not all that concerned about poverty issues because we can get out of that EASILY- believe me when I tell you.

Real talk, brothers need to be proactive rather than reactive.
