I started listening to Mac Dre in the early 90′s and was hooked from there. I never heard anybody rap over the phone before? His style was so unique, making dumb words rhyme, the crazy ad-libs that came after his rhymes. He will forever be my favorite rapper. He always put it down for The Crest, but unlike most rappers, he wanted The Bay as a whole to shine. He repped Northern Cali to the fullest- it offended him that he and his peers didnt and still dont get the recognition they deserve. Im from the bay, while stationed in anchorage, he came to do a concert, stopped by Sam Goody. I must have walked in 2 minutes after he left, so I missed my chance the meet him… Thx to Fab for a great article, keep doin your thing…Free Dubee and Little Bruce!

all I have to say is this dude, Mac Dre, has been a huge inspiration on my life. Just tha way he lived, what he did, motivation. The message I got from his music was to LIVE LIFE LAV, or basically live life to tha fullest and have fun. I miss this dude erryday…RIP MAC DRE

Every time I listen to Dre, or read something about Dre I get chills sent down my back. I ain’t ever gonna get over his death. Dre was the most unique rapper to ever live, one in a trillion.
