HIP HOP was never DEAD! Whoever gassed up the HIP HOP IS DEAD bandwagon … was probably the same person who thought BIG and PAC created an EAST vs WEST beef! There has and will always be mediocre rap acts that get major commercial success ie: HAMMER, DEL the funky homosapien, Fu-Schinkens …up to now with Dem Franchise Boyz, DFL, or whoever else you can think of!
DOESN’T MEAN HIP HOP IS DEAD, now what is DEAD is the days of signing to a major and becoming an overnight success … or thinking because your from the birthplace of HIP-HOP everyone outside of that is obsolete.

Hip Hop may not be dead, but it’s on it’s death bed gasping for air. Everthing that makes it onto the charts is the same. A club banger with dumbed down lyrics and no message to the song. Everything is money, cash, car, and clothes. Don’t get me wrong because I remember when hip hop didn’t have all of that, but now the whe got it, whe forgot the true values of hip hop. We used to strive on creativity and want to push the boundaries, now everyone follows the trends in order to keep sells high. I love hip hop, but it’s hard to find these days. Hip hop may not be dead, but is definately fighting for its life.

first of all mtv and bet didnt put that shit on in response to no damn 70′s babies, they put those shows on because rap was new and was beginning to grow like wildfire. rapcity is still on but yo left during the mid 90s and 70s babies didnt do nothing.
